How to stay positive during quarantine!

Writer's picture: AA

1) Start your day writing down something you'd like to achieve today. This can be anything, ranging from going on a walk or as simple as getting out of bed.

2) Listen to your favourite music to get you motivated for the day ahead. This will help better your mood, which will make you more productive during the day.

3) If you are faced with a negative situation, try to identify what went wrong and how you can prevent it from happening in the future.

4) Stay at your own pace, don't try and complete a to-do list of 20 things a day, keep things simple and prioritise what tasks are most important. Don't overload yourself!

5) If you find yourself in a situation which makes you fear the future or something in particular, challenge it! Write down this fear and brain storm why you fear it. It's important you ask yourself, "whats the worst that can happen?"

6) Ensure you are following a regular sleeping pattern, under-sleeping and oversleeping can lead to further fatigue. Make sure you are getting around 8 hours of sleep, using a sleep application can help you track how you feel depending on how much sleep you got, this can be helpful in identifying when you feel the best.

7) Make sure you are eating properly and exercising regularly, exercise is important to improve overall mood as its scientifically proven that it produces serotonin! Want to know what else releases serotonin? CHOCOLATE

8) Find your way to brain dump. This can be talking to friends, family or even just writing it down! Personally I enjoy making a bullet journal, it allows me to be creative whilst also keeping me organised both physically and mentally on a daily basis.

I hope some of these tips will help you now or in the future! Positivity is key to living a happy life, I promise there is light at the end of the tunnel.
